Gary Giangola, MD is the Chairman of Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and Associate Professor of Surgery at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine. He is the past President of the New York Surgical Society, one of the most prestigious surgical societies in the nation. Gary completed medical school at NYU and remained at NYU as a surgical resident, vascular fellow and faculty member. Over a busy 30 year surgical career with an extensive referral base, he has been the director of Vascular Surgery at the Manhattan Veterans Hospital, St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital and Staten Island University Hospital. Gary is also the current System Chief of Vascular Surgery for the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System. He also has been a leader in vascular surgical societies on a national level and has been an Officer and President of the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society (formally the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society) as well as President of the New York Society for Vascular Surgery.M

His clinical areas of expertise are carotid artery disease and abdominal aortic aneurysms.  He has worked collaboratively for over 30 years with Dr. Robert Rosen providing care for patients with arteriovenous malformations.  He has extensive experience providing surgical and endovascular services for patients with venous insufficiency and varicose veins.
